Community Foundation Announces COVID-19 Recovery Grant Program

The 2020 COVID-19 Recovery Fund will assist various local non-profits in their relief and recovery efforts. Funds will support things such as emergency food distribution, shelter and long-term housing, emotional and spiritual care, economic and rental assistance, education, healthcare, and more.

Local non-profits with a mission that fits the description above are invited to apply for funding. Applications must be submitted to info@atchisonfoundation.org no later than Friday, April 17th 2020. The application is a fillable PDF document.

AACF has pre-selected the local Salvation Army and Catholic Charities organizations to receive initial $5,000 grants to immediately start putting Recovery Fund dollars to work in our community.

Additional Guidelines / Questions Answered for Future Funding:

  1. Applications must come from 501(c)(3) organizations.
  2. Applications must indicate credible plans of the requested funds.
  3. Applications must be submitted to info@atchisonfoundation.org no later than Friday, April 17th 2020.
  4. All applications will be reviewed by the AACF Board of Directors along with community representatives and civic leaders. Reporting on the recipients of Recovery Funds will be available to donors and the public as soon as distributions are made.
  5. All approved grants will be distributed by June of 2020.

In 2019 AACF was established to enrich the lives of the people in our community through philanthropy. We are a source of funding for local nonprofits and public entities. We are committed to building philanthropy and connecting people who care with causes that matter.
