On behalf of the Atchison Area Community Foundation and all of the organizations that we serve, thank you Atchison County! Your kindness and generosity are what make this such a wonderful place to live, and we look forward to continuing to serve you in return.

Match Day is a yearly event where $150,000 in matching dollars are generously given by various local donors in order to provide additional support to the efforts of the community facing organizations in Atchison County. There are a wide variety of organizations and the populations that they serve are diverse. From food insecurity and public art, to education and maintenance of public land, each of these organizations relies on the generosity of donors to achieve their yearly goals.

The Atchison Area Community Foundation is grateful to work with nonprofit organizations like AllWays who are committed to helping every member of the community, regardless of who they are and where they come from. Access to medical care is an essential need of any thriving community.

We are excited to announce the addition of several new funds to the Atchison Area Community Foundation! These funds, established through the generosity and commitment of our donors, will empower us to support a wide range of community initiatives. With these new resources, we are better equipped than ever to address the needs of our community and make a lasting, positive impact. In partnering with local non-profits and causes, AACF now offers over 38 independent funds under our umbrella, 10 of which were established during the 2021 calendar year. Recent funds established include the Atchison Amelia Earhart Foundation Fund, the Clubs for Kids Scholarship Fund, the Muscotah Cemetery Fund, and the Salvation Army of Atchison Fund.

Tricia Clark and Payden Brunton both have plans to attend the University of Kansas in the fall of 2020, but that’s not the only thing they have in common. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Atchison Area Community Foundation (AACF) created the 2020 COVID-19 Recovery Fund. The fund was initiated with a $25,000 matching grant from the Courtney S. Turner Charitable Trust just one month ago and has since received donations from dozens of local businesses and individuals throughout the Atchison area.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Atchison Area Community Foundation (AACF) has created the 2020 COVID-19 Recovery Fund, which is now active and accepting donations at atchisonfoundation.org. The fund was initiated with a $25,000 matching grant from the Courtney S. Turner Charitable Trust just one week ago and has since seen donations from several dozen businesses and individuals throughout the Atchison area.
