Match Day is a yearly event where $150,000 in matching dollars are generously given by various local donors in order to provide additional support to the efforts of the community facing organizations in Atchison County. There are a wide variety of organizations and the populations that they serve are diverse. From food insecurity and public art, to education and maintenance of public land, each of these organizations relies on the generosity of donors to achieve their yearly goals.

Community Foundation Provided Assistance and Value in 2021

In partnering with local non-profits and causes, AACF now offers over 38 independent funds under our umbrella, 10 of which were established during the 2021 calendar year. Recent funds established include the Atchison Amelia Earhart Foundation Fund, the Clubs for Kids Scholarship Fund, the Muscotah Cemetery Fund, and the Salvation Army of Atchison Fund.

Community Foundation Announces $100,000 of COVID-19 Recovery Fund Grants

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Atchison Area Community Foundation (AACF) created the 2020 COVID-19 Recovery Fund. The fund was initiated with a $25,000 matching grant from the Courtney S.
